Seriously West Coast vol 02

Back in September the Vancouver Sun released their first compilation album with the help of a decidedly Canadian cast of musicians.  The songs on that compilation were a solid gathering of sounds and with a little digging they can still be found on the interwebs.  This time around the Vancouver Sun released yet another completely free digital download filled with amazing artists.  And, this time, there is a holiday theme that runs through all the music.

Enjoy the tracks below.  For a limited time you can download the entire compilation in high quality mp3 format direct from the Vancouver Sun here.  The tracks below comprise the entire album and I’m making them available as not everyone in the world has broadband or the desire to hear each and every track that ever found a website.  Cheers.

Seriously West Coast vol 01

The other day I was checking around this new space I call my blog and I was clicking through all the links, making sure they were pointed at the correct sites, and so on. Well I stumbled down to where the ad banners are displayed and I did something that I honestly rarely, if ever, do. I clicked on one because it actually caught my attention. It was actually an ad for a free music mix presented over at the website for The Vancouver Sun. And of course, like a good little blogger, I snapped it up. And you can download the tracks here as individual files. I’m sick, or I would have posted this earlier today, but this strange cold snap has gone a shoved what feels like a cheese grater down my throat. Non-yum.

Read the article here, or check out The Vancouver Sun.

mp3 : Sarah McLachlan - Witness (Live)
mp3 : The Perishers - Victorious
mp3 : Datarock - Fa Fa Fa
mp3 : Uh Huh Her - Say So (Tom Russo Mix)
mp3 : Moev - Yeah Whatever
mp3 : The Format - She Doesn’t Get It
mp3 : Leigh Nash - Ocean Size Love
mp3 : Bare Naked Ladies - Home (Live)

mp3 : The Be Good Tanyas - Ootischenia
mp3 : The Water Walk - Turn Your Face Away

To be quite honest all of the songs are great and deserve their spot here on Seriously West Coast vol 01. If you’re only stopping by and only have but a moment to take in one song then by all means download the brilliant song by Leigh Nash. It’s heartbreaking and in all honesty outshines many of the other tracks on the compilation.
