Smashing Pumpkins

Today was a gorgeous fall day, most of it I got to spend outside in a big open field filled with orange and yellow leaves, gusty wind, and children playing merrily oblivious to the chill in the air.  I had a really good day.  And on this day, exactly eighteen months after my father unexpectedly passed away, as I found myself enjoying the crispness of autumn, and the way sunlight casually filters through clouds to dapple the ground with moments of warmth, this old song by the Smashing Pumpkins found its way into my mouth and I couldn’t stop singing it to myself.

Enjoy life, enjoy the weather, and enjoy this track from their album Adore (iTunes).
