Really, I have to admit to being pretty boring when it comes to wedding songs. I want “Soul Meets Body” by Death Cab For Cutie played, as well as “Hanging By A Moment” + “You and Me” by Lifehouse. However, one song that stands out as unique to me that I’d like played at both my wedding and funeral is “The Trapeze Swinger” by Iron and Wine. Not the studio version, but the live one where it’s just Sam Beam, the twang of his guitar, and more deep rooted feelings than one could hope for.
