well chino, it's been a long time since i've purchased an actual physical copy of a disc, but that just might be the disc that makes me go back to buying physical {versus digital} media.

Bing is the man!!! Christmas and Bing Crosby are like Baseball and Hot Dogs, you can't have one without the other. Great tracks. I love your blog.

Another more complete collection is the 2-disc "Bing Crosby - The Voice of Christmas: The Complete Decca Christmas Songbook". That one has everything with a bunch of liner notes.

Thank-you SOO much for acknowledging the amazing singer that was Bing Crosby. He is especially present this time of year, as he is a permanent fixture in the pre-holiday festivities at my house, and always will be... Good Work!

Crosby was important in more ways - he recognized the genius of Louis Armstrong long before others did. He took control of his career - which at that time was radio - dictating the terms under which he would do his shows. Most importantly for the future, he was friends with Les Paul, who invented multi-track recording, and through his support of Paul help set the stage for the ways artists record today.

Crosby changed singing forever in the 30's... He certainly have his niche in the music world.
Sad that he is not very well known by younger people of today... (instead of a certain Miss K...l who has more legs than emotion in her voice.
Thnakx for these brilliant pieces of music.
