yes, as spiro pointed out, the postal service remix has been around for quite some time. i actually posted about that track a long time ago here on TWF, back when i was using a blogspot domain. i put it in the BOTM series because it is still amazing and i reckon many people have missed the first, second, third time around.

allegedly the postal service duo of gibbard and tamborello might have a new disc spinning soon. there are rumours that a new album will be ready on chirstmas day but sub pop has said “we’re nowhere close to a new postal service album.” as of julyish they had six songs done and ready for pressing although i’m sure those will continue to get reworked with more blips and beeps the longer the wait goes on.

Yay for songs I’ve never heard by bands I love.
If there is a Postal Service remix to a new song, does that mean the the PS is alive and kicking again? I heard rumor of a new cd due out, but to my disappointment, I never saw it.

yes it is andrew, thanks for pointing that out. both the tweedy track and i believe the sufjan track are from that soundtrack. the soundtrack for the film I’m Not There.

Jeff Tweedy probably sounds like Bob Dylan because that’s a track from the I’m Not There Soundtrack, as it’s a Bob Dylan cover…
