Gossip Girl vol 01

I talked this show up a bit last week after catching the series premiere. And all ridiculous high school drama aside these cats do play some good music. Or rather good music is played over their heads as they look forlornly off camera with that unfocused gaze that says more than a nine hour narration ever could. Here’s all the music that appears in last weeks episode. Hopefully in the second episode, which shows tonight on The CW, will include more pop and less hip hop. Or at least less bad hip hop. Or at least less Akon and Rihanna.

mp3 : Air – Photograph
mp3 : Akon – Don’t Matter
mp3 : Albert Hammond Jr. – Hard To Live In The City
mp3 : Amy Winehouse – Back To Black
mp3 : Angels & Airwaves – The Gift
mp3 : Cold War Kids – Hang Me Up To Dry
mp3 : Hanson – Go
mp3 : Justin Timberlake – What Goes Around Comes Around
mp3 : Peter Bjorn and John – Young Folks
mp3 : Rihanna – If It’s Lovin’ That You Want – Part 2 (Feat. Corey Gunz)
mp3 : Timbaland – The Way I Are (Feat. Keri Hilson and D.O.E.)
mp3 : Washington Social Diamond Club – Diamond Hipster Boy

I recommend the tracks by Air, Albert Hammond Jr., Amy Winehouse, and suprise, Hanson. The rest of the tracks are worth putting in the shows premier, but might not necessarily make the cut of your next iTunes mix.
